Thank You For Making Sunshine Celebration a Success!

Thank you to the sponsors, attendees, donors, and volunteers who helped make our Sunshine Celebration event a huge success. Together, you raised more than $57,000 in net proceeds to support the mission of Sunshine Place! Your amazing generosity will help provide services for families and individuals in our community facing food insecurity, housing insecurity, and other barriers to stability.

Sunshine Place Welcomes New Staff and Intern

Please join us in welcoming three new individuals to Sunshine Place!

Marly Beck was recently hired as the Food for Kids Operations Coordinator. Marly will bring all projects that focus on feeding kids at Sunshine Place and the Sun Prairie Food Pantry under one program, including partnering with Community Schools to help support and grow their school pantries.

David Bartel joined the staff as the new Bilingual Housing Navigation Specialist! With the addition of David on staff, Sunshine Place will now be able to provide direct services in both English and Spanish for clients experiencing housing instability.

And Courtney Ellis will be working alongside staff as a social work intern for the school year. In this position, Courtney will help support various projects and programs at Sunshine Place.

We are excited to have Marly, David, and Courtney as part of our team to help provide the best services possible to those in our community facing food insecurity, housing instability, and other hardships.

The impact of Sunshine Place in the community is only possible through the kindness of the individuals and businesses who donate and volunteer to support our programs. Below are just a few recent highlights of this support:

Please join us in extending a huge thank you to our friends at Royal Printing. They celebrated their 75th anniversary by holding a food drive to help stock the shelves of the Sun Prairie Food Pantry. Congratulations on 75 years, and thank you for your continued support!

	Thank you to the recent groups that provided volunteers and food to serve the community at our weekly Sunshine Supper meal. Each group provided more than 450 meals! Host groups included the Bank of Sun Prairie, Summit Credit Union, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and Sun Prairie Utilities.

Sunshine Place is honored to be the designated charity recipient of proceeds from the 2nd Annual Border Blitz Tailgate. Thank you to the Sun Prairie East Quarterback Club and the Sun Prairie West Touchdown Club for teaming up to host this event when the two teams played each other. We are grateful to be the recipient of this wonderful community partnership!
