Stuff the Bus Program Distributes Over 1,600 Backpacks
Thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and donors who made this year's Stuff the Bus distribution a success! With your help, the program provided over 1,600 backpacks with school supplies to Sun Prairie School District students requesting help. We are so grateful for the community's support in helping us make sure that every child has the necessities they need to start the school year off right.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Community Shout Outs
The impact of Sunshine Place in the community is only possible through the kindness of the individuals and businesses who donate and volunteer to support our programs. Below are just a few recent highlights of this support:
Thank you everyone who has donated to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry to help us keep up with the record number of households seeking help. Daily usage of the pantry is still growing and these donations are critical. You can help by dropping off food and personal care item donations at the pantry or by making a financial contribution online by clicking HERE.
Thank you to the recent groups that provided volunteers and food to each serve over 400 community members at Sunshine Supper. Host groups included Our Saviors Lutheran Church, St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Sun Prairie Schools board members and district office staff, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sun Prairie, and Heartland Church.
Thank you to our recent summer lunch sponsors for providing hundreds of lunches for area children - WPPI Energy, Promega Corporation, TST Coatings a division of Fisher Barton, Sun Prairie Utilities, Sun Prairie Lions Club, Rooted Right Ministries, Orfan Park Bootcamp, Sun Prairie Youth and Families Commission, Heartland Church, Beans n Cream, QBE, and Pop Art.
